Sunday Brunch

Things got pretty crazy during the holidays, thus no blog posts.  We now have our winter menus posted on this site.

We are excited to be offering Sunday brunch from 10 to 3 – special menu items and table service during those hours.  Enjoy live jazz guitar with Bill Murphy this Sunday from 1 to  3 p.m. – what a great way to cap off your brunch!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We are taking orders for Thanksgiving pies but they are selling out fast.  We’ll have slices to enjoy in the cafe this weekend too.  Apple pies are $25 and pumpkin $20.  Call us at (408) 446-4296 or stop in to order.

We have three music events this pre-Thanksgiving weekend!

First Dolce Musica jazz trio  will be performing Friday November  18th from 7 to 9 pm.

Burning Daylight will bring us acoustic pop rock Saturday November 19th from 7 to 9 pm,

And last but not least, Bill Murphy will provide background  jazz guitar for us Sunday afternoon, November 20th from 1 to 3 pm.

Thanksgiving chocolates are already being made, the best selection will be this weekend.  We’ll have lots of chocolates boxed and ready to go, or choose  your favorites.

Wine and Chocolate Pairing: 7-9 p.m. Friday August 19.

Dolce Bella and Skov Winery of Scott’s Valley are pairing up for an informative evening of wine and chocolate.  Skov owner Annette Hunt and Dolce Bella owner/chocolatier Audrey Vaggione will guide you through the art of pairing wine with chocolate in an open-house style event. Annette was here last month for a private event and we are thrilled to have her back.

Here are the pairings:

Passion Fruit chocolate with 2010 Lake County Sauvignon Blanc

Peppered Rosemary Orange with 2007 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon

Just-Picked Raspberry with 2008 Santa Cruz Mountain Merlot

Chocolate Mint with 2008 Santa Cruz Mountain Zinfandel

March Happenings

We have some fun events coming up this month. First, we’re celebrating St Patrick’s day Dolce Bella style with a house-made Shepard’s Pie that is to die for. Think ground lamb, creamy mashed potatoes, all baked in an individual dish so you don’t have to share if you don’t want to. Top it all off with one (or more) of our special Jameson Whisky Chocolate – and trust us, there’s plenty of Jameson to tease your taste buds.

Then, we’re having another chocolate and wine pairing night Friday March 18th. We’re giving the starring role to our amazing Covey Ice Wine – a sweet dessert wine that we pair with our Tahitian Vanilla Bean Chocolate. A melt in your mouth combination.

Saturday March 19th brings us to our monthly jazz performance with Chris Vasquez of Bella Musica. Come enjoy some live music, a glass of wine or a chocolate drink, and some of our delicious dinner fare. It’s always packed so come early or prepare to stand for a bit.

Finally – FINALLY – we have uploaded both (or should I say all) of our menus! Check out the delicious paninis on the lunch menu, peruse the beverages including our amazing chocolate concoctions. Then move on over to the dinner and dessert menu (in whichever order you prefer). Drool over our mac and cheese, hummus and pita, and savory turnovers. Then, dip into some chocolate fondue for two, or maybe devour our delectable profiteroles.

Upcoming events and Pictures!

We have two live music events coming up – one today from 4-6pm featuring acoustic music from Tony Poulus. Also, Saturday Feb 26th we’ll be featuring music from Chris Vasquez.

To entice you to come in for these events, we’re sharing some recent photos taken by Steve Persall. After seeing his amazing work, there is no way you’ll be able to resist popping in for some profiteroles.

Blog Revamp

Hi Everyone! We are working on revamping our blog in the coming days, weeks, months. Stay tuned for things like upcoming events, new photos, menus, and feature stories on staff, wineries, and our coffee provider, Mr Espresso. We’ll also be having a chocolate of the week feature.

For now, keep in mind that every Thursday is 1/2 off any bottle of wine. Yes, that’s right. 1/2 Off. Any. Bottle.

Also, our next wine and chocolate pairing event will be February 10th featuring local winery Joyce Vineyards and our own chocolates, perfectly paired to create a flavorful bite/sip.

We’ll also being having live music again at the end of February. Get here early because the place fills up fast – more details to follow.
