From the Karma Beats Newsletter last week:
Where is Helen Loo singing these days?
Hello everyone,

Greetings! Fall equinox took place just yesterday, marking yet another passage in time. It is a time of harvest that invites us to pause and reflect, and consider what aspects of ourselves and our lives have we tended to in past months that is now bearing fruit.

For me, I am very happy to announce that I am now in a new band called Karma Beats. We feature a unique combination of jazz, pop, rock, folk and bossa nova. Our sets incorporate favorite standards as well as tunes including the likes of the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Feist, Bob Marley and Norah Jones. We will be playing at Dolce Bella Chocolate Cafe in San Jose on Oct. 3. I have had the wonderful opportunity to play there numerous times with my previous band, Dolce Musica. I look forward to returning to this lovely cafe that makes its own scrumptious chocolates and ice cream, while also serving regional wines and delectable foods inspired by fresh, local ingredients. Come out and have some fun with us! Details are as follows:

Saturday, Oct. 3
Westgate West Shopping Center
5325 Prospect Rd
San Jose, 95129

For this show, we are pleased to feature the wonderfully talented Justin Rock on guitar! Also, please stay tuned for future shows down the line. We’re excited to be playing at Testerossa Winery in Los Gatos on Friday, Nov. 27, and you’ll be seeing us at Cinnabar Winery in Saratoga early 2016.

I hope to see you!! :)

Blessings and take care,
